Documentary Casting :  Sent: Tuesday, October 27, 2009
Subject: Documentary needs reenactors

Gentlemen:
Please pass this along to your units.
I've been in contact with Greg Markle from Idaho Springs who is producing a documentary about George Jackson for the Idaho Springs 150th Anniversary Celebration.  Jackson joined both the Arizona Sharpshooters and Quantrill's band during the Civil War.  Greg is looking for reenactors to portray Arizona Sharpshooters for a segment of his documentary.  As far as I can determine, the Arizona Sharpshooters were the 4th Battalion of the 4th Brigade of the 4th Division of the Army of Virginia, which would indicate a fairly generic Eastern ANV impression for the purposes of the documentary.  I don't think Greg is looking for absolute authenticity here, from what he said.
At this point, the shoot is set for Sunday Nov 8, details to be determined.  Folks would need CS Infantry uniform, accoutrements, rifle, and, I would assume, cartridges - in other words, at this point, light marching order.  I will find out about blanket rolls and any rank designations and pass the information along.
Contact and questions would go through myself at this point:  (303) 789-0710 or fourthtxarty@aol.com
Please let me know ASAP if any of your folks are interested!  Thanks!
YMOS,
Jake Lawlor, 1st Sgt, Fourth Texas Regimental Light

”What’s the Forecast for…” :  A good question for good planners.  I’m including links to local TV stations (reasonably) close to the first 2 or 3 Event sites listed on the “Rondy Events 1 & 2” Pages.  I try to get stations that feature a 7-Day forecast if possible along with local Fire info.  These links will change as Events come & go on the calendar.
